In the fall of 2007, the National Energy Board (the NEB or Board) announced that, as part of its review of key land issues, the Land Matters Consultation Initiative (LMCI) would be established. The decision resulted from the Board's desire to support continual improvement related to land matters, and confirmed the Board's belief in constructively engaging interested people and organizations.
The Board considered the LMCI topics in four streams:
In May 2009, the Board released documents to provide guidance for implementation of the Land Matters Consultation Initiative. These include a series of actions for addressing concerns raised during the consultation process.
